Regarding IGP applications, our department requires that the applicant’s current or previous university be either a partner institution of the Institute of Science Tokyo or a university with a ranking equivalent to or higher than that of our partner institutions. Evaluation criteria such as THE Rankings or QS Rankings will be applied.
If your home institution is not a partner university or if there are no partner universities in your country, please submit documentation providing objective evidence that your home institution meets the above requirements.

Additionally, our laboratory requires IGP applicants to have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.5-point scale for their first through third undergraduate years or for their entire undergraduate program. For this purpose, please also submit your academic transcript.

And note that the Department Admissions Committee will also verify the requirements, not just myself. Therefore, please be sure to send documents that can confirm your eligibility. Additionally, please understand that we will not respond if the required documents are not submitted.
Note that for domestic applicants, the above requirements are not necessary as they take a paper-based test.
